Tell Lee about the job
Every field except the town and the service is needed so Lee can get back to you.
The quickest way to a price is a photo. Send a picture of the wall or ceiling on WhatsApp with a rough idea of the room size and what you want doing, and for most small and medium jobs Lee can give you an honest figure back the same day without anybody making a trip. Several of the Checkatrade reviews specifically mention being quoted within twenty four hours of getting in touch, and that is usually how.
Bigger jobs, whole houses and anything external are better seen in person, and that visit is free with no call-out charge and no obligation at the end of it. What helps most is knowing the town, roughly what size the rooms are, whether ceilings are included, whether there is wallpaper or artex to deal with, and anything you already know about previous repairs. None of it is essential, it just makes the first figure closer to the final one.
If Lee is on the trowel when you ring, he will call back rather than leave it. And if what you actually need turns out to be smaller than what you asked about, or a job for a different trade entirely, you will be told that. It happens often enough to be worth saying plainly rather than leaving as an implication.
Common questions
Getting In Touch
What is the quickest way to get a quote?
WhatsApp or a phone call to 07886 717108. For small and medium jobs, photos plus rough room dimensions are usually enough for an honest figure without anyone making a trip. Bigger jobs are better seen in person.
How soon will you get back to me?
Usually the same day, and several Checkatrade reviews specifically mention being quoted within twenty four hours. If Lee is on the trowel when you ring he will call back rather than let it go unanswered.
Do you charge for a quote or a call-out?
No to both. Quotes are free with no obligation and there is no call-out charge for coming to look at a job.
Can I send photos instead of arranging a visit?
Yes, and for smaller work it is the sensible option. Photos of the whole wall or ceiling plus a close-up of any damage, and a rough idea of the room size, are usually enough to price it.
What information helps you quote accurately?
The town, roughly what size the room is, whether ceilings are included, whether there is wallpaper or artex to deal with, and what you want the finished room for. Anything you already know about previous repairs is genuinely useful too.
Do you work Saturdays?
By arrangement. Weekdays are the normal working week, but Saturday work is possible where it suits both sides, particularly on jobs where the room needs to be back in use for the Monday.
How do I pay?
Payment terms are agreed before work starts and set out in the quote. There is no large deposit demanded up front for ordinary domestic work. If anything about the payment arrangement is unclear, ask before you book rather than after.
Can you give me a rough price over the phone?
For common jobs, yes, with the honest caveat that a phone figure is a ballpark until the background has been seen. It will not turn into a different number on the day without you being told why and agreeing to it first.
Do you cover my town?
If you are anywhere in Rossendale, Hyndburn, Burnley, Pendle, Blackburn with Darwen, the lower Ribble Valley or up to Ramsbottom, almost certainly yes. If you are outside that, ring and ask. You will get a straight answer rather than a quote for a journey that does not make sense.
What happens after I accept a quote?
You get a start date and, on bigger jobs, the room-by-room order. Lee confirms the day before. Everything is sheeted before work starts, the job runs to the schedule you were given, and the debris leaves with him at the end.
